A Medisafe alternative for your supplements

Outside the US, Medisafe has been subscription-only since 1 January 2026: a 14-day trial, then $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year. If you use it for medication, MyTherapy is free and does the same job. If you use it for supplements, Supli reminds you at dose time and counts each bottle in its own unit.
What changed with Medisafe
On 1 January 2026 Medisafe became a paid app for everyone outside the United States. New and existing users get a 14-day trial, and then need a monthly or yearly subscription to keep using it. In the US it stays free to download and use, with Premium as an option.
Premium costs $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year, according to Medisafe’s help center. Google Play does not show a price in euros: it is displayed before you pay.
When Medisafe is still the right one
If you take prescribed medication, especially several, Medisafe is built for that: Medfriends who get alerted if you miss a dose, dependents, health trackers, an Apple Watch app. It counts pills and reminds you to refill. Paying for it may be worth it, and Supli does not try to replace it.
It also takes vitamins and supplements, as one more medication. Its own help center says there are limits there, such as products with several components or combined strengths.

The alternatives, by what you take
Mostly medication: MyTherapy
Free, from smartpatient in Munich, funded by partners such as pharmaceutical companies. It tracks stock and reminds you to refill, works without an account on one phone, and shows ads unless you pay for the ad-free subscription.
Only a few, on iPhone: Apple Health
The Health app has a Medications section that takes vitamins and supplements, with reminders and a follow-up 30 minutes later. Free and already installed. Apple’s guide does not describe counting what is left in the bottle.

- Not automatically. Supli has no import from Medisafe. Adding a supplement takes a few taps: name, format, bottle size, dose and time.
